Tylyn - please do not make any comment about the fact that my message appears twice in the comment column. You know how I am about do-overs!

Hi Laura,
Happy New Year. I was rifling through my files to see how we could give to your ministry with some end of the eyar funds, and of course, I have no records, but thought it might be a good idea to include a link for gicing on yoru blog. I'll just track down the info through Sherline or Emily, but you know me, can't apss an opportunity to give my opinion. You and the kids look great, and I love getting your updates. Life here is pretty much as you'd expect--the girls are in and out and Rob and I are trying to keep up with all the household projects, needed or created.

God Bless!

Wut up homie. I just got the url for your blog (I'm behind the times). You rule. You are still my idol despite your recommendations I seek a new God. I will read up to see what God is doing in your world. BTW, I added your blog as a link to the one I do for my church. You are a star, what can I tell you?

Hey Laura,

So I was wondering how you followed up the baby food Thanksgiving meal when it came to preparing Christmas dinner--sheema stuffing?

We were up your way last week in NoCal & I thought of you as we drove through. Spent Christmas with Tom's friend & we had a very San Francisco Christmas--homemade crepes stuffed with quince at one meal & homemade gnocchi at another. (Because, as our hostess announced, "I've always wanted to serve gnocchi as a first course." Well of course...who hasn't?)

(And for everyone who is about to ask, "What the heck is a quince?" Yeah...that's what I wanted to know too. It's a fruit that tastes like a cross between apple & some sort of berry.)

Charlie (now 9 months old) spent the entire gift-opening, paper-ripping time asleep (head down, butt up) in a pack-n-play right next to the tree.

How do I attach a photo to send you? Anyone? Buehler? I'll try to figure it out...otherwise, tell Travis to blog me some instructions on that. Thanks Trav.

Love you!
Mel

In my defense, I post once..my wife who is actually more computer illiterate than most, posts as me. I take no responsibility for her humor. Merry Christmas Sis! While you were in 95 degree weather, the kids, the wife and I were missing you in Detroit where we got 8 inches of snow! Brrr. What an amazing witness is the ministry of presence. More powerful than words more instructional than discipleship, more permanent than church planting. Keep it up. We love you and are so proud.

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Keep the Pictures coming everyone loves the pintouts but they need to get computers and blog this is 2008. Hey Laura, Joey and Sammy I love reading all the adventures God has you on. We pray and support keeps coming in so I pray it is getting to you and the the ministry there. So good to see you with Sasha! Are the Holidays over already where did the time go? So much I want to ask, so much I want to say - Glad I know we'll have eternity together- there are so many in need of God's grace. Let me know anything you need! Valere and the girls

Hey there, Taylors. How are things in Africa? It's back to cold her in Chicago after a 60-degree warm spurt for a couple of days.

Give me some prayer requests, will you? Do you have anyone me and my small group can pray for by name? Do you guys need anything from the states?

Laura Taylor is my god. Who else could it be?

Jana B. said...

Chris,
Are you being a scamp? You know that Laura Taylor would be horrified to hear such a thing. Her heart's fixed on Jesus of Nazareth, and so is mine.

Laura Taylor said...

HAHAHAHA!!!!!! Chris- you do not want to mess with Jana! She'll hop a plane and come clean your clock!

Jana- Chris is my totally irreverent little buddy (little meaning younger....he also body builds and shaves more places than I do...which also makes him 'little' in my book....and he cusses....)

Jana B. said...

Thanks for the scoop on Chris E., La. Now I know better what to pray for. Chris E., you're being double teamed by a couple of scrappy women. Watch yourself young 'un.

okay big sister... it's time for a new blog!!

Jana B. said...

Hey sister.

I was just thinking about you. I pray for you, Joey, and Sammy every day. I sure wish I could come and visit you. I love you, La. I am going to keep praying for God to bless you and your sons with His fullness. I don't know all the challenges that you are going through, but I'm sure there are many of them. I am going to pray for everything I can think of, including that none of you will grow weary in doing good and that none of you feel alone, ever.

Hey, I was just thinking of you guys. I wanted to tell you that I love you, and that I'm praying for you.

Jana B. said...

How are you doing? What can I pray for?

Jana B. said...

I just got this e-mail:

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders and says, "Oh no...she's awake!!!"

Laura Taylor said...

Love that quote! How about 'live your life in such a way that God doesn't say 'oh no...she's awake'. :)

Jana B. said...

HAHAHAHA! Yea, that's the corollary.
