Sam, Joe and Jesse want to get a monkey...

My favorite part of the new house...the arboretum. The house is actually two small houses that the were conjoined to form a bigger home. The arboretum was the space between the two houses, so the windows you see are actually bathroom windows. :) Needless to say- this is my favorite part of the whole house. I think I'll just move my bed into the hall and sleep under the trees every night.
And, NO, boys, we will not cage it all in and get a pet monkey. Any pet that throws poop is not allowed in the house...or near the house...

I hung a stuffed monkey from one of the 'outdoor' plumbing pipes...that's as much as I can do...I'm pretty sure there's a city ordinance about housing rabid, feces throwing, screaming animals in the city limits....unless they are your teenagers, at which point they may make an exception.

Tylyn tells me my posts are too long. I'm supposed to just write a pithy comment and not a novel.....that will be a stretch......

Hi Laura - I am a good friend of Jana Dorn's. She sent me the link to your blog. It really is wonderful what you are doing! Praise God!

Have you prayed about it?? Getting a monkey, that is :-)

Paulette- Welcome to the wacky wonderful world of the Taylor's....did I mention MONKEYLESS world... Frankly---I haven't prayed about it...but I'm pretty sure God will side with me on this one. Although the stuffed monkey keeps making his way around the arboretum. Every time I pass through he's in a different place and position. But no poop, no mess...the perfect jungle pet!

Sammy - I think at one time or another in our life, we should all have a monkey :-) Seize the day!

I probably can't legally get a monkey - seeing that I live in the city...but you, my friend, have a great place for a monkey. You could live out many a persons dream - having your own monkey!!
