So much for the poof....

Jeanne loves to be pampered, but this was ridiculous. :) She just sat and let the girls run their little dirty hands through her hair, lice and TB be damned! When you are in the presence of such love, such vulnerable need, you throw caution to the wind and allow the Holy Spirit to run the whole show...just the way He likes it. I wasn't sure if Jeanne was going to get back on the plane, so moved was she. Now, if we can only get Eck here...but what would the kids 'fashion' on him? He's completely hairless (a body builder).

Although I am known for my "poof" (the back part of my hair that I back comb to the heavens.....Texas hair) I gladly lay it down for those dirty little hands. How can you resist? These little ones won my heart as did the women in the HIV/TB hospital.
What an amazing trip we had. The Holy Spirit is alive and well and working in South Africa. Thank you to Laura, Blommie and the entire Monte Christo Team for their selfless work. I miss you all.

It is true love when the 'poof' is sacrificed to share God's love! Jeanne was so selfless and braved teaching which might have been out of her comfort zone! I'm so blessed to call her friend and glad she made the trip to SA!

UP YOURS LT!!!

And it's stinkin about time you updated this thing. Put a feedburner "email updates" on this thing so that when you do update it (those 2x/year) we'll know.

BTW, I told you I'd be there in a second...if Vince McCarrie would pay my way. He's the one making the big bucks these days, you know (...well...his wife is...but you know what I meant).

I HAVE A LITTLE DOG, HE IS DASHING....

Is your dog's name Chris? He's fairly dashing.

Come on McCarrie- You buy the plane tickets, I'll provide the entertainment and Chris can do his usual mooching and whining....

Tis true. Dashing. Cannot be denied.

LT, you are losing a step on the sarcastic insults. Africa is making you soft. I have no idea what you're talking about.

BTW, did Jeanne give you a 'good game' for me?

Hahahaha.....she did present me with the 'good game' greeting. I hadn't had a good game in a looooonnnggg time...so it was really quite a great game.

And , yes, Africa is making me soft...but is that so bad, Chris? Really?

I just have to say.. I can only hope I am as funny as you guys are when I'm in my 40s and 50s...

(I know, I know, my favorite aunt and Taydog are in their 30s)

But seriously can I say how jealous I am...and how badly I wish I had a money tree...I would be there tomorrow if things went my way. Jeanne what do you think about sponsoring your little redhead?...I might be the whitest person they have ever seen...

Yes Rachel, get my age right! I can't believe we haven't talked since I got back! So to answer your question, will I sponsor you? Hey, I'm trying to get my own sponsors here so I can go back!!
